The Israeli’s will attack Iran. Why? Because Bibi Netanyahu has boxed himself in. He is losing in Gaza and in Lebanon. He needs a win. If he attacks Iran and succeeds, he will be a hero, and a historic one. If he does not attack and starts to back off, he has only the losses of Gaza and Lebanon to support him. Because of these failures and other bad behaviors, he will be out of office in a year. Once out, he will be facing charges in court for other misdeeds not associated with his wars.
So if he attacks and succeeds, he has a chance to become a hero and he will escape the Israeli justice system. But if the attack on Iran fails, he faces the same result: out of office in a year and facing charges in court for other misdeeds not associated with his wars.
So he has a choice. Not attack and, for sure, become a goat. Or attack, and take the chance of becoming a hero and save himself from disgrace. Because like the old saying goes: “For with victory, all things are forgivable.” So for him, the situation demands he attack. So he will attack. The question for us is, when?
All the commentators are currently surprised that he has not attacked yet. But they should not be surprised. It is merely knowing what to look for when you look at Jewish culture.
First. The Jews were not going attack until after Yom Kippur, those were the Jewish high holy days of 11 and 12 October. So no attack should have been expected then. On the night of October 12th, Yom Kippur ended, so that is when the clock started ticking.
Second. But what now? When will they attack? Well, one thing you do not want to do is wait past the 1st week of November, because the weather turns bad on a regional scale. So the weather becomes an operational constraint/limitation.
Third. There is also a cultural factor at work. Jewish culture has a Lunar based time system. Their holy days and days of action are influenced by the cycles of the moon. Part of the answer we are looking for is in the past, “past is precedent.” And as strange as it seems, a pattern does seem to be present.
a. On June 5th 1967 the Israelis started the 6 day war. June 5th was three days before the new moon.
b. In 1976 the Israelis conducted a nuclear test. Noted as the “Vela incident”. This happened 22 September 1979. Within two days before the new moon.
c. The Israelis did a sneak attack on Iraq’s nuclear reactor in 1981. They completely destroyed that facility. This attack was called Operation Opera / Babylon. It took place on June 7th 1981. This was five days after the new moon.
d. The Syrians were building a Nuclear reactor in 2007. The Israelis discovered this construction and were determined to destroy it. (it also coincides with the initial formulation of operation Timber Sycamore) On September 6, 2007 the Israelis destroyed the Syrian facility by attacking within five days before the new moon. This was Operation Orchard.
Therefore, based on the past history of Israeli military operations, we see that they start significant military operations within in a 10 day window centered on the date of the new moon. That means their window of attack is either 5 days before a new moon or 5 days after the date of the new moon. This is based on their past military operational history.
For the doubting Thomas’ who point out the: Entebbe raid, the 73 Yom Kippur War, or 2006 Lebbanon war, these conflicts were not initiated by the Israelis….their advesary initiated the action… The Israelis were in the “reaction mode” and did not choose the start date of hostilities.
So when will they attack Iran in 2024?
Due to the weather, as discussed above , waiting much later will reduce the chance of success. So they do not want to wait until 1st of December, which will be the new moon cycle over one month from now.
The next New Moon is 1 November 2024. Therefore expect Israel to attack Iran : Between the dates of 27 October to 5 November of this year.
This may sound like a bunch of coincidental goobledy-gook. But it is not. You are dealing with a religion focus government whose leadership makes decisions based on religious beliefs and prerogatives. You may not like thier thinking and see no logic in it.
But this is not about you. It is about How they think.
Robert, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge of historical events, and how taking a comparative look at them with regard to Israel's actions can be a guide to when Israel may or will likely launch its big attack on Iran.
Eyes open next week!
I will continue to pray for the hand of God to intervene and stop a huge war. For hundreds of years humans have tried to make way for the second coming of Christ. He will come at His chosen time, not at the time that humans who aspire to be little gods think or try to force Him to come.
Please tell me where the photo at the top of your post was taken, and when.
